Temple Coffee Roasters, a local coffee shop chain and coffee wholesaler, has been awarded to open a location in Sacramento International Airport’s Terminal B. The upcoming location will be built out in a new space and is operated and managed by High Flying Foods.
Established by Sean Kohmescher in 2005, Temple Coffee currently operates eight coffee houses: five in Sacramento, and three in Arden Arcade, Folsom, and Davis, respectively. The brand focuses on sustainable sourcing and prides itself in a comprehensive farm-to-cup process. Its wholesale and online retail menu includes a wide variety of coffee blends, espressos, single origins, and teas.
The SMF location, operated by High Flying Foods, is slated to open in the fall of 2024 alongside two other concepts managed by the same group: Nixtaco and Bawk! by Urban Roots. Temple Coffee is the only location that requires a new space buildout as the other two concepts will be taking over formerly-occupied spaces.
What Now Detroit reached out to Kohmescher for a comment but had not heard back by the time of this coverage.
