The Posh Bagel is bringing its signature breakfast and lunch fare to Greater Sacramento with a wave of new locations.
Founded in 1992 by Jeffrey Ottoveggio, the Los Altos-based bagel chain has built a loyal following with its fresh bagels, bagel sandwiches, bagel dogs, and house-made cream cheeses. The menu also features pastries, crêpes, sandwiches, wraps, smoothies, coffees, and bubble teas.
With 18 locations across California, the brand is continuing its expansion into the Sacramento area. According to Sacramento Business Journal, the first local outpost will open in Rancho Cordova’s Sunridge Plaza, occupying a 1,408-square-foot space at 4030 Sunrise Blvd. It’s expected to open in the coming months.
A second location is planned for 4380 Town Center Blvd, Suite 130 in El Dorado Hills. The bagelry will be housed in a 1,450-square-foot end space in a strip building. While the timeline depends on permitting and construction, Ottoveggio estimates at least six months for the kitchen buildout.
Looking further ahead, The Posh Bagel has secured another El Dorado Hills end space at Sienna Ridge, a Safeway-anchored shopping center at the southeast corner of Bass Lake Rd and Sienna Ridge Rd. The 1,500-square-foot eatery is expected to debut by the end of 2025.
But the expansion doesn’t stop there—Ottoveggio told KXTV that three additional locations are in the works for Elk Grove, Folsom, and Granite Bay, all slated to open within the next year. In total, he aims to launch 10 new locations across Greater Sacramento over the next two years.
