World Traveler Coffee Roasters has signed a lease to open a new location at Gold River Town Centre, moving into 2095 Golden Centre Lane, previously occupied by a Starbucks that closed last year as part of a wave of store closures for the chain.

The chain already has locations across the region, including Midtown Sacramento, Roseville, El Dorado Hills, Rancho Cordova and DOCO near the Golden 1 Center, with another site planned for Davis. Franchisors Linoy Nesher and Yaniv Rosenberg purchased the business during the Covid nineteen pandemic and have grown it steadily since.

World Traveler is known for roasting its own beans in-house on a Giesen roaster, building its menu around coffee origins from around the world alongside specialty drinks like honey lavender and rose vanilla lattes. The food side includes breakfast sandwiches, vegetarian paninis and a rotating pastry case, giving the shop a full cafe feel rather than just a coffee counter.

Gold River Town Centre spans about 139,000 square feet and is anchored by Bel Air Fresh Market, with other tenants including Jack’s Urban Eats, The Mimosa House and Beach Hut Deli. According to the Sacramento Business Journal, residents raised concerns in February about the center’s vacancy rate, and the new coffee shop fills one of several open spaces still listed by Gallelli Real Estate.
