Well known for their tasty and delicious frozen yogurt, ice cream, and smoothies, 16 Handles is expanding, this time in California.
According to QSR Magazine, the company has eight units planned across the state. In San Diego, local entrepreneur and Air Force veteran Paul Vignola has signed an agreement to open two units in North San Diego. There is no exact timeline for these upcoming locations.
The brand has signed additional franchise agreements across California, including South Orange County, the San Fernando Valley, and the San Francisco Bay Area.
“We’ve always seen California as a natural second home for 16 Handles, but we wanted to enter the market the right way, with strong operators and lots of momentum,” 16 Handles CEO Neil Hershman told QSR Magazine.
16 Handles first opened its doors back in 2008. It was New York City’s first self-serve frozen yogurt shop and grew to 40 locations. The iconic dessert brand offers 16 unique rotating flavors along with over 50 premium and exclusive toppings.
So if you’re craving something sweet or you’re simply a dessert lover, 16 Handles may be the place for you and your family. The brand has a library of flavors for frozen yogurt, ice cream, gelato, and vegan soft serve, from chocolate to ¡Arriba Coffee and other treats and snacks.
It also recently launched limited-edition flavors, including French Fry, Squid Ink, Butter Beer, Strawberry Tart Kefir, and Keto Chocolate Brownie.
