Desserts By Clément, a French bakery known for its pastries and molded desserts, is preparing to expand with new locations planned for Del Mar and Vista.

The company’s new Del Mar location is expected to open in early summer 2026, according to SanDiegoVille, while a future Vista location is also in development. Founder Clément Le Déoré said the exact addresses for both projects have not yet been publicly announced. Customers can expect the new stores to closely mirror the company’s existing Pacific Beach flagship, offering pastries, breads, sandwiches, coffee drinks, and specialty desserts.

Desserts By Clément opened its flagship bakery in late 2023 at 1380 Garnet Avenue in Pacific Beach. The bakery quickly gained attention for its hyper-realistic molded desserts, French pastries, macarons, croissants, and artisan breads. The concept combines a traditional French bakery with a modern pastry presentation, drawing customers from across San Diego.

The upcoming stores are expected to offer many of the same menu items currently available in Pacific Beach, including entremets, seasonal pastries, viennoiserie, sandwiches, breads, espresso drinks, coffee beverages, and soft drinks. The bakery has built a following for its rotating pastry selection and visually detailed desserts inspired by French pastry techniques.

Le Déoré is originally from Brittany, France, and began baking at age 15 in his mother’s kitchen. Before opening his own bakery in San Diego, he worked throughout Europe and Australia and later served as executive pastry chef for Le Parfait Paris. He has also appeared in media outlets, including Pastry Arts Magazine and San Diego Voyager, as well as television programs such as The Great American Baking Show and Spring Baking Championship, where he was a Season 9 finalist.

Le Déoré has also reportedly discussed plans for additional bakery locations and a possible full-service French restaurant concept. As the company continues growing throughout San Diego County, the upcoming Del Mar and Vista stores represent another step in expanding the brand’s presence beyond Pacific Beach.
