Infusion Lab, a specialty dessert and coffee shop, is getting ready to open in Pacific Beach at 4638 Mission Blvd.
The company’s new location will open next to the now-closed Copper Top Coffee & Donuts, according to San Diego Magazine. Co-founders Baran Aydin and Aselin Bay are behind the concept, with Aydin serving as finance director and Bay leading coffee operations as coffee director. The planned opening timeframe is late June or early July 2026. Customers can expect espresso drinks, matcha beverages, signature ube drinks, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, house-made cookies, and European-inspired desserts.
Infusion Lab is being designed as more than a traditional coffee shop. The founders plan to create a space where customers can work, socialize, create content, and connect with the surrounding community. Planned interior features include white and maroon styling, line-drawing artwork, Chesterfield-style seating, and a dedicated social media area for photography and content creation.
The company also plans to expand beyond food and beverage offerings by developing a lifestyle brand tied to the cafe. Infusion Lab intends to sell merchandise, including shirts, hats, bags, and socks, as part of its long-term vision. This approach follows a growing trend among coffee businesses looking to build stronger customer engagement through branded products and social media-driven experiences.
The shop joins a growing group of specialty coffee concepts operating throughout San Diego, including Holy Matcha, Saya Brasserie, and S3 Coffee Bar. This will be an excellent landing spot for Infusion Lab, given Pacific Beach’s steady foot traffic, active social scene, and ongoing residential development. The combination of coffee, desserts, and lifestyle branding is expected to appeal to both residents and visitors year-round.
