Juicy Burgers, a Santee-based burger shop that once had dozens of locations nationwide, is getting ready to expand nationwide, starting in San Diego.
Founder Nick Rose opened the first Juicy Burgers in 1978 and expanded throughout the country until the pandemic caused the company to close all 28 locations. Then, last year, Juicy Burgers opened its first post-pandemic location in North Park at 2810 El Cajon Blvd. Now, the company has plans to expand to multiple locations, starting with sites in Sports Arena and the College Area, according to Rose, who tells What Now San Diego there could be another site coming to Hillcrest.
Both locations are expected to open in Summer 2024 and will be corporate-owned. Rose tells What Now San Diego that the new Sports Arena location will replace Naked Cafe at 3555 Rosecrans St, Ste 109. After this, the company plans to expand throughout the country this year with the help of franchising. Juicy Burger plans to open new locations in Las Vegas, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Miami, Orlando, and Tampa. Rose tells What Now San Diego that the company hopes to open more in San Diego.
Customers can expect delicious burgers, wings, sides, and more when these locations open. The food is always made with the freshest ingredients and to order right in front of customers. If the food and drink weren’t enough to get anyone excited about these expansion plans, it’s worth noting Juicy Burgers proudly supports various charities, such as Homes For Our Troops, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 4 Paws for Police Foundation, and more.
