Neptune Sushi, a new sushi restaurant, is getting ready to open in San Diego at 3015 Adams Avenue.
The company’s new location is set to move into the former home of Tajima North Park, which closed after nearly 10 years of serving the neighborhood. While an exact opening date has yet to be announced, a recent liquor license application requests an on-sale beer and wine license, suggesting customers can expect alcoholic beverages alongside the restaurant’s menu.
The ABC filing lists Dillon Berkabile and Tanner Berkabile as managing members of Neptune North Park LLC. Based on public records, the filing is one of the first indications that a new restaurant is preparing to take over the Adams Avenue space.
Dillon Berkabile is known as a co-founder of Bowlology and Palmy’s, an all-day café in Pacific Beach that opened in 2021. Although few details about Neptune Sushi have been released, the ownership’s experience in San Diego’s restaurant industry suggests another locally operated concept is on the way.
This will be an excellent landing space for Neptune Sushi, given North Park’s established dining scene and steady foot traffic. The neighborhood continues to attract new independent restaurant concepts, making it a popular destination for both residents and visitors.
Tajima continues to operate other locations throughout San Diego County, including its Crown Point restaurant. As Neptune Sushi moves through the licensing process, additional details about the menu, concept, and opening timeline are expected to be announced.
