A brand new family-owned pizzeria, Soriano’s Pizzeria, is preparing to debut in Barrio Logan, located at 2844 Main Street, Site B.

The new restaurant will move into the former home of Harborside Cuisine, according to an application from the Department of Environmental Health and Quality. Owner Wilfrido Soriano tells What Now San Diego that he and his two sons, Axel and Andre, will operate the business when it has its grand opening in January 2024. The restaurant will start to have a very soft opening next month to get the staff acquainted with the space.

Soriano tells What Now San Diego that the menu is being built according to the business’s growth and plans to start with a very basic menu and eventually add more menus. For starters, the restaurant will begin by offering a handful of appetizers, such as calamari and breaded avocado slices, followed by chicken wing options, salads, and, of course, pizza, including seafood pizza options, according to a menu sent exclusively to What Now San Diego. Soriano’s Pizzeria will also serve different pasta options, submarines, and desserts.

Soriano’s idea for this concept is a family-oriented restaurant from locals to locals. Axel and Andre were born and raised in Chula Vista, while Wilfrido lives in Imperial Beach. Together, they will create a welcoming environment fueled by their slogan: “Fast, Fresh, & Friendly.” The family should have no problem getting customers in its doors once it finally opens, considering it only has to compete with Little Ceasars and Pizza Hut Express nearby.
