According to a recently submitted permit application, Bay Area coffee shop chain California Cafe is debuting a new outpost in Palo Alto.

Coming to 320 California Avenue, the concept will land near establishments such as Italico Ristorante Pizzeria, Protégé, and ZombieRunner Coffee.

“We are currently in the design and build-out phase for our new location at 320 California Avenue, set to open in 2025,” California Coffee shares on its website.

The statement continues, “While we work on creating the perfect space, we have opened a cafe pop-up at 425 Portage Avenue inside the Palo Alto Fit facility, open to everyone. It’s our pilot setup featuring our new La Marzocco espresso machine from Italy and the precise Mahlkönig grinders from Germany.”

What Now San Francisco contacted the coffee shop’s owner, Mirco Horst, to inquire about the expansion, but he could not provide additional information before the time of publication.

Stay tuned for updates.
