Gyu-Kaku is one of the most highly-anticipated openings in downtown San Jose’s restaurant row. Located at 28 N. Almaden Ave., the Japanese BBQ restaurant has been under construction as an addition to the Modera residential project. Recently, Gyu-Kaku has put out a call for hiring of most front-of-house and back-of-house positions, including Restaurant Manager.

Based on this development, it’s likely that Gyu-Kaku’s buildout is nearly complete and that they will be ready to open their doors within the next couple of months. The chain has made waves throughout North America, offering an authentic yakiniku (grilled barbecue) experience.

With grills at every table, Gyu-Kaku encourages friends and family to discover their inner chef with a wide range of premium meats including Harami Skirt Steak in Miso Marinade and Certified Angus Kalbi Short Rib in Tare Sweet Soy Marinade. Though the grills use Japanese charcoal, their “smokeless roaster” features a downdraft system that keeps smoke away from the guests.

Having opened its first U.S. location in L.A. in 2001, Gyu-Kaku currently boasts more than 700 locations worldwide. Representatives for Gyu-Kaku could not be reached for comment at the time of publication. For more information, visit www.gyu-kaku.com.
