According to Tablehopper, Hôtel Biron Wine Bar & Art Gallery in Hayes Valley has a new owner, Ron Ramsubhag.
“We’ve had a lot of people come in and support the bar,” Ramsubhag tells What Now San Francisco, adding “I’ve been focusing on more events and changing our wine menu a little.” Some of these changes include adding natural wines, orange wines, and non-alcoholic wines, as well as local beer.
Additionally, Ramsubhag introduces himself in a recent Instagram post, sharing, “Hi, my name is Ron, and I am the new owner of Hôtel Biron Wine Bar & Art Gallery. I recently took over at the end of April.”
He continues, “I have always loved wine but my journey in wine started in December 2021. I had received news that my mentor passed away. His death had affected me as he was one of the first people to believe in me to do chemistry. When I read his obituary, I found out he had made his own wine and had his own vineyard. From that day on, I told myself to start doing things and not just talk about them. I want to make wine and share it with the people I love. I spent the past two years working at a wine bar to build up my palate and this past year making my own wine.”
Located at 45 Rose Street, the eatery is located near establishments such as Boba Guys Hayes Valley, Espetus Churrascaria Brazilian Steakhouse, and Zuni Café.
“I love this place, and I am proud to continue the legacy of Hôtel Biron. I hope that when people talk about HB, they’ll think about wine, art, and most of all, community! Come in and join me in this new chapter of Hôtel Biron Wine Bar & Art Gallery,” Ramsubhag concludes.
