Daly City’s Bangkok Garden Thai Cuisine may have closed but the space will soon reemerge with a similar concept under new management. Kan Kiin is getting ready to open this summer at 201 Southgate Ave., according to a pending beer and wine license takeover found in public records.

Co-Owner Atthapon Inkhong, who recently opened Roji Ramen in Oakland, confirmed that Kan Kiin is his next upcoming project. In a phone call with What Now San Francisco this week, Inkhong said that he and his associates are planning to open sometime in August.

The space has been remodeled, but will still serve up some classic Thai dishes. Additionally, Kan Kiin will also be open as a breakfast spot, perhaps similar to other Bay Area establishments such as the upcoming Prik Hom restaurant in San Francisco’s Laurel Heights.

We’ll have to sit tight to see what we can expect on the menu, so stay tuned for any forthcoming updates on a website or social media accounts.
