According to a recently submitted permit application, Silicon Valley-based business Kirk’s Steakburgers plans to debut a new outpost in Palo Alto.

Coming to 2680 Middlefield Road, the eatery will land near establishments such as Como Esta Taqueria, Covour Coffee, and Palo Alto Cafe.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the dining concept, Kirk’s offers a brief introduction on its website: “At Kirk’s, we still prepare our steakburgers the same way that our founders Bill and Kirk did back in 1948: over an open charcoal flame, letting you add your own condiments, and pairing it with some of the best home-made milkshakes in California!”

The statement continues, “Kirk’s has also expanded our menu to include items like our Signature Fries, Garlic Onion Strings, and other options, and we still use the same butcher that Bill used in the early days.”

What Now San Francisco reached out to the concept’s owner, Maurice and Giuseppe Carrubba, to inquire about the expansion, but they could not provide additional information before the time of publication.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
