Since the start of last year, Food Rocket has been on a mission to replace brick-and-mortar supermarkets as consumers are more and more inclined to opt for on-demand grocery services. Of course, they can’t run this operation without having a brick-and-mortar to fulfill all their orders and it looks like they may have just secured a new spot in the Mission District

According to real estate intel obtained by What Now San Francisco, Food Rocket has its sights set on 2401 Mission St. A lease on the 3,107 square-foot restaurant space is due to start this month, so it’s likely that Food Rocket will begin making the space their own, if they haven’t already.

Food Rocket is a “super-fast” grocery delivery app that promises to deliver fresh groceries, ready-to-eat meals, and household goods to your door in around 10 to 15 minutes. Servicing San Francisco and Chicago, Food Rocket has now opened up their stores for pick-up orders and in-person shopping for customers who are already out and about.

Details about this new Mission Street location are still yet to be announced. What Now San Francisco has reached out to representatives for Food Rocket and will update with more information if it is obtained.

In the meantime, visit www.foodrocket.me to download the app and get more information.
