The expanding egg sandwich spot Eggslut is coming to Melrose Market to accompany businesses like Taylor Shellfish Oyster Bar and Sankaku Onigiri Cafe & Bar.
It was recently reported that Eggslut will be arriving at the shopping mall and market located at 1531 Melrose Avenue. This will be the sixth location in the U.S., expanding their presence on the West Coast.
The restaurant was founded in 2011 by Alvin Cailan, and it is a “chef driven, gourmet food concept.” Signature sandwiches include the Bacon, Egg & Cheese, Gaucho, Sausage, Egg & Cheese and the Fairfax scrambled eggs, chives and cheddar cheese option.
“The menu is a balance of comfort and innovation, celebrating food that appeals to both novice and extreme foodie,” according to the website.
An article from Capitol Hill Seattle reports that permits have been issued to build out the space at Melrose Market. Eggslut has locations all across the world, with four in California, one in Las Vegas, one in Tokyo and seven in London. Hours of operation have not been announced, but the California locations’ hours are typically 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. every day.
The sandwich shop will join a very trendy area just south of Capitol Hill. This marks the third state Eggslut has expanding to. No official opening date has been announced.
