It appears another McDonald’s location is on the way to Toronto. Building permits indicate that a new restaurant for the chain will open at 709 Queen St. E., as first reported by blogTO.

The chain has 26 locations clustered directly in Toronto and seems to be continuing to expand their footprint. The restaurant has been expanding across the country and Canada now has about 1,500 McDonald’s restaurants, largely concentrated in Ontario.

Most recently, the building where McDonald’s is seeking to open was home to Duke’s Refresher.

Further details regarding the opening timeline remain unclear. The permit calls for renovations, indicating that the restaurant is still in the early stages of development.
