Poulet Rouge, the Canadian restaurant chain specializing in healthy, customizable grilled chicken bowls, announced the official opening of its first street front location in Toronto’s Queen West. Residents and visitors to the city’s bustling neighborhood can now enjoy the eatery’s tasty, balanced and generous signature dishes, made for people seeking healthy meals on-the-go.
Opening its doors on April 10th, the new 2,788 square-foot restaurant is situated at 360 Queen St. West. In addition to the dine-in area, the new location offers digital order kiosks for customers seeking a quick and convenient pickup option.
“I’m thrilled to see our brand’s expansion into the vibrant Queen West neighbourhood,” says Moussa Madi, CEO & Co-Founder of Poulet Rouge Group in a statement. This new location represents an important milestone in our journey, strengthening our presence in the Toronto market with a beautiful, modern space that allows us to share our passion for fresh, healthy meals with this community.”
Poulet Rouge offers a variety of bowls to suit all lifestyles and dietary needs, using fresh, quality ingredients at reasonable prices. Customers can choose from three options: the Rouge Bowl, the Rouge Poutine and the Rouge Mini. They are invited to personalize their bowl by choosing marinated grilled chicken or veggie fillets, with bases of brown rice, bulgar wheat, quinoa or lettuce. All can be topped with a choice of garnishes and enhanced with one of four emblematic sauces: BBQ (Sweet), Volcano (Spicy), Hercules (Lemon) or Shisha (Garlic).
Full of flavours, the menu draws inspiration from both the Mediterranean origins and North American upbringing of its three founders. The food can be described as ”modern fusion” cuisine that embodies the blending of these cultures.
Poulet Rouge translates to ”Red Chicken” in English. For the founders, the colour red symbolizes energy, love and passion, the three core attributes they have infused into every aspect of the brand since its foundation. Poulet Rouge came to life in 2012 when Moussa Madi and an ambitious young friend, Bilal Jaffal, launched a Quick Service Restaurant in Galeries Joliette, a shopping mall in Quebec. In 2017, the brand received an additional boost when a third friend, Khalil Mansouri, joined forces with the duo as head of operations, further accelerating its growth.
With the opening of its 63rd location, Quebec-based Poulet Rouge continues to expand across Canada, reaffirming its ambition to become a key player in the country’s healthy fast-food sector. The expansion builds on Poulet Rouge’s successful growth trajectory in the Toronto market where the brand has established eight restaurants since 2023. The Queen West restaurant is the brand’s first street front location in Toronto.
