Virginia diners with a hankering for ramen, this one’s for you. A new restaurant called Miso Tori Ramen which specializes in the incredibly popular dish is getting ready to open in Winchester later this summer, reports The Northern Virginia Daily.

The restaurant, owned and operated by Shawn Steffey and Tyler Newcome, will be opening at 21 E. Boscawen Street. Steffey and Newcome are no strangers to the hospitality industry; the duo are also the driving forces behind The Wine Room at the Taylor Pavilion and T.T. Walls Kitchen & Bar.

Miso Tori Ramen will immerse visitors in a uniquely Japanese environment. Steffey explains: “All of the light fixtures, the Japanese silk lanterns, we brought from Japan. The neon signs on the walls are classics in downtown Tokyo. We’ll have a music playlist that is all Japanese pop. And there will be about 100 folded origami cranes.”

The cuisine will split the difference between authenticity and innovation. While traditional ramen will be available, guests will also be able to try unexpected variations including Nashville hot chicken and Texas barbeque varieties.

Miso Tori Ramen will be able to accommodate up to 42 customers inside and will also offer outdoor seating. A precise opening date is not yet available, however a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page establishes that it is aiming for a July opening.
