DC’s weather may cool down this autumn but a lauded hospitality group is making sure that the culinary scene will be heating up for local chefs of all levels. Spicewalla, a retail concept from the Chai Pani Restaurant Group, will be opening in Georgetown and providing residents with spices, tea, and pantry staples.

The concept is moving into a 1317 Wisconsin Avenue storefront. Press materials provided to What Now DC state that the Georgetown location will be Spicewalla’s second home, joining a market in Asheville.

Even the most reluctant shoppers are certain to delight in the Spicewalla experience. The release explains: “Spicewalla retail stores are immersive sensory experiences, stocking 250+ individual spices, 60+ exclusive blends, gift-ready collections, and other essential pantry brands inside a vibrant, joy-filled space.”

A precise opening date is not yet available for the store’s Georgetown home, however it should be customer-ready at some point this fall. It is poised to be an essential resource for area chefs, thanks to its superior products, described on the website as: “Our blends are obsessively crafted, our spices are fresh & bold, and our mission is simple: to make your food taste incredible and inspire you to cook food at home. No gimmicks, no shortcuts—just real-deal spices that bring big flavour to your kitchen.”
