According to permits filed with the City of Sacramento, a new boba tea cafe and restaurant called Boba Me Up is planned for a vacant space at 7485 Rush River Dr. The incoming business will take over the empty shell at Ste 670, which was previously a yoghurt shop.

Application materials show that the new cafe’s owner is Bee Thao. However, an email inquiry sent to the owner did not receive any responses. According to the application, the new business will remodel the existing 1,572-sqft yoghurt shop space into a boba cafe and restaurant. It appears there will be food offerings as the scope indicated adding new gas cooking equipment. Herald-based Charles Deatherage Construction Inc. is leading the construction.

The new boba cafe will add more dining options to Promenade Shopping Center. Other tenants include Device Brewing Company, Sai Varee | Thai Cuisine, Ramen House Tenjin and Dim Dim Food. There is also a Mexican restaurant, a fried chicken shop, and a Mountain Mike’s Pizza location on the other side of the shopping center.
