After 10 years, Amy Morton and her team bid farewell to Found Kitchen + Social House in downtown Evanston. The building along Chicago Avenue which is also home to such establishments as BC Cleaners and La Cocinita is being torn down, so Sunday, October 2 will be Found Kitchen’s last service.

“Found is where so much started for me,” said Amy Morton, Owner of Found Kitchen + Social House, The Barn Steakhouse and Stolp Island Social in a statement. “I re-entered the restaurant industry after starting a family and knew that in order to leave my three daughters each day to go to work, it had to be purposeful. I look back at this experience with incredible pride, relishing in what we’ve achieved over the past decade. A sustainable kitchen, socially responsible practices, ground-breaking farm-to-table fare & cocktails, MICHELIN Bib Gourmand (when they still included the suburbs!), equitable environment since day one and an all-female management team, which although was not planned, turned out to be an integral part to our success.”

Amy and her team are deeply grateful for the support over the past decade and invite everyone to enjoy dinner at Found Kitchen before they close in October. Toast the Found family with one last meal from James Beard Award-Winning Chef Debbie Gold and her fantastic seasonal menu showcasing the best of our Midwest bounty throughout August and September.

“I will forever cherish the people who made Found come to life,” says Amy. “Our team who loves what they do (and continue to do), and our very special guest base are what has made Found become a home and within that home, a family.”
