Changes are coming to a Puerto Rican cuisine staple in the neighborhood.
The team at Marina’s Bistro recently submitted a liquor license application for his new Marina’s Supper Club concept at 4804 N Broadway. This is a new version of Roldan’s current business, set to offer elevated Puerto Rican cuisine and live music. Right now, he is planning on opening the new spot around February 2027.
“What began as a ghost kitchen by Chef Eric Roldan has grown into a beloved Uptown destination, and now into something even greater — a one-of-a-kind dining and cultural experience rooted in Puerto Rican heritage,” says the post from Marina’s on their Instagram.
What Now Chicago reported on Marina’s Bistro first opening in late 2022. The Puerto Rican cuisine served at the neighborhood spot has become very popular, featuring sandwiches like the tripleta with pork, ham, steak and plantain fries. Mains like pollo al ajillo, jibaritos, appetizers, soups and salads are also available.
The supper club is coming to the intersection of W Lawrence Avenue, close to other dining spots like Birrieria Zaragoza, Carmela’s Taqueria and MAMO’s Burgers & Krispy Chicken. This is also close to the iconic Uptown Theater on the same side of the street. The Lawrence CTA Red Line stop is a short walk east.
What Now Chicago is awaiting comment from Roldan on opening logistics and the timeline. The space is under construction, and more updates can be found on their website or Instagram page.
