An affordable clothing retail concept is coming to the town near the Wisconsin border.

Owner of Second Spin, Mel Dalton, is hoping to open her store in Antioch at 311 Depot Street Suite F sometime this year. The business specializes in giving kids everyday essentials for school and play. An opening date hasn’t yet been established as Dalton just recently received the keys.

The new concept will essentially be a thrift store, selling used clothes and accessories, sports equipment, instruments, books and graphic novels. Clothing items will include tops, bottoms, dresses, coats, pajamas and outwear for those aged 4-22. Those in the area have recently been donating items to the store.

“Thank you thank you for helping this dream to life,” says a recent post from Dalton.

The plaza is on the north end of Depot Street, and right next to the Metra station. Also at the building are Antioch Traveling Closet and Hope’s Playground Pediatric. Downtown Antioch is a short walk west of the location.

What Now Chicago is awaiting comment from Dalton on the official opening date. As construction progresses, Dalton will be releasing more information on Second Spin on her Facebook page.
