A top Las Vegas meeting and trade show destination has announced a major overhaul.

The Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino on Oct. 12 detailed a $100 million remodel of its 2.1 million-square-foot convention center, according to a press release.

The work includes technology and digital signage improvements, along with a fresh design that complements Mandalay Bay’s tropical ambiance.

The project includes remodeling all of the pre-function spaces, meeting rooms and ballrooms, as well as refreshing the one million square feet of exhibit space.

According to the press release, the new look features white-washed walls and ceilings, bold floral patterns and walnut accent walls.

“With Mandalay Bay home to many of the city’s top events and trade shows year after year, we recognized the need to upgrade the space to reflect modern-day needs and create a timeless design complemented by our premier service experience,” Ernest Stovall, vice president of sales for Mandalay Bay,” said in the press release.

The convention center will remain open and operational throughout the remodel, with upgrades executed in phases. The project is expected to be complete by the end of 2024.

In addition to this project, Mandalay Bay plans to remodel the Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas. It will also add Flanker Kitchen + Sports Bar in summer 2023, as well as redesign Stripsteak in early 2023.
