Brittany and Ed Cabigao of SOB Hospitality Group took ownership of The Liquor Store restaurant in February and are already opening a second location at 699 S. Mendenhall Rd.
The new space in East Memphis offers a lot more leg room than the flagship Midtown location, both inside and outside, with seating for 120. The Cabigaos are working to ensure the second restaurant gives The Liquor Store vibes before opening doors in mid-May.
An additional coffee shop adjacent to the restaurant will offer a place to hang out, wait for a table in The Liquor Store, or just enjoy a morning cup of joe.
The Liquor Store restaurant, founded in 2018 by Lisa and Luis Toro, takes its name from the site’s humble beginnings as The Broad Ave Liquor Store. The menu will change slightly at both locations with the opening of the new location, but loyal patrons need not worry — changes will not be drastic. Customer favorites include Biscuit Beignets, The Cuban sandwich, Chipotle Pepper Jack Burger and Sweet Potato Hash.
