Lily’s Bakery, a local catering company known for its decadent cakes and savory pastries, is set to open its first brick-and-mortar location later this year in Grahamwood Crossing at 4000 Summer Ave, according to owner Lily Chaker. More specifically, Chaker tells What Now Memphis that the bakery could open around fall, depending on permitting and construction.

Carson Claybrook, VP of Retail Brokerage Services with Cushman & Wakefield and Commercial Advisors, helped close the deal on behalf of the landlord.

For more than five years, Chaker has been providing birthdays, corporate events, and other special occasions with her uniquely designed cakes and baked goods that take cues from both Spanish and Middle Eastern influences. Various menu offerings have included everything from flan to kibbeh – a fried mixture of ground meat, onions, and grain – and donuts to baba ghanoush.

The Grahamwood Crossing iteration of Lily’s Bakery will feature many of these items, as well as some hot Arabic food, all of which will be made to-go, says Chaker.
