New Concept Headed to Familiar Little Italy Spot

Team From San Diego Dining Group Acquires Former Carruth Cellars Location

Fresh on the heels of opening their newest Italian concept, Truffle in North Park, San Diego Dining Group is at it again. The group recently acquired the location formerly known as Carruth Cellars Wine Garden before the urban wine bar expanded in Liberty Station.

According to a recent alcoholic beverage permit application, a new concept is headed to Little Italy under the guidance of the four Italian-born restaurant leaders. Under the name 4 In Kettner LLC, owners Vincenzo Loverso, Alberto Mestre, Marco Provino, and Antonino Cusimano will head up the space. 

The four hospitality experts are responsible for local eateries like Giardino in Lemon Grove, RustiCucina, Osteria Panevino, and the Gaslamp’s Latin American fusion spot Zama, among others. Now the group will install in the former wine bar which occupies 1,500 square feet inside with just over 3,000 square feet of outdoor space. 

Further details about the newest San Diego Dining Group concept have yet to be shared. What Now San Diego will update as the new location takes shape.
