Changes are in the works at Swagyu Burger in Pacific Beach. The burger restaurant announced changes in service while they remodel the Felspar Street location.

SanDiegoVille reports the new concept will be dubbed Beach Bum Burger Bar, featuring a coastal theme to match the Pacific Beach neighborhood.

In a social media post, Chef and Owner Steve Brown assures guests they can still order and enjoy their signature burgers in Pacific Beach while they work on flipping the concept. Burgers, and even beer, can be ordered and enjoyed on their outdoor patio.

Delivery through DoorDash is also offered, however, full restaurant service for this sole location is unavailable which has left some followers and would-be visitors to the area beach-bummed.

Known for its signature Wagyu beef smash burgers, Swagyu operates its restaurants and Chop Shops in Imperial Beach and Poway, with one spot in Hawaii. The brand offers catering services through its Swagyu trucks, and is still working on an expanded restaurant and bar concept in Oceanside

For now, Swagyu recommends guests head South to its OG location in Imperial Beach for full service. No announcement has been made yet on when we can expect the Pacific Beach location to fully reopen with its new name and look.
