River Street Marketplace will have the aroma of freshly baked cookies wafting through when it opens this year. Hudson’s Cookies will be a tenant at the 31831 Los Rios St. establishment, OC Register reports.

The dessert shop is preparing to open its doors at the eagerly anticipated outdoor dining and retail destination. River Street Marketplace is a project by Almquist Developers; ground broke on construction in 2022.

Hudson’s Cookies was founded by Verlie Payne, and was started out of her apartment kitchen. The company has grown to locations in Irvine and Newport Beach, and does wholesale sales out of Laguna Beach.

The company believes “you should be able to order your cookies, medium, rare, or medium well!” Its crispy-yet-gooey creations capture the perfect blend of textures and flavors in every bite.
