First reported in QSR Magazine, Mountain Mike’s Pizza will continue its decades-long growth in Colorado. After inking development deals for three Colorado Springs stores, Isaac and Allie Brandon are taking some time to digest the information before they reveal plans and a timeline for opening one of the first iconic pizzerias in the Centennial State.
The first Mountain Mike’s Pizza restaurant hails all the way back to Palo Alto in 1978. After the Stanford-area pizzeria brought “a casual, family-friendly atmosphere” to the area, the restaurant has been able to bring the same high-quality grub and homey environment to more than 250 stores in California, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, and Idaho over the last 40 years.
Per QSR, growing Mountain Mike’s into Colorado continues “tremendous brand momentum” for the franchise, driven by “years of record sales.” This expansion is fueled by landing franchisees with the same dedication to fresh ingredients and the strong local connection that Mike’s puts forward.
“We are proud to be growing Mountain Mike’s Pizza with strong, community-minded business leaders, and our partnerships with focused, industry-savvy and dedicated franchisees,” co-owner and co-CEO Chris Britt told QSR. “We expect to ‘peak’ thanks to best-in-class planning, proven measures and talented people leading the climb.”
The restaurant lives by the motto of “Crispy, Curly Pepperoni,” which is covered in fresh mozzarella and “classic” red sauce atop 20-inch Mountain-sized pizzas should help attract Colorado Springs residents as well.
