First launched in 2018, Persian chain Shahs of Kabob has been steadily growing in popularity. The brand’s following has precipitated a series of openings, including restaurants in Kendall, Fort Lauderdale, Wynwood, and Coral Gables. And according to recent coverage by the Miami Herald, the growth isn’t stopping there.
Owner Amin Ebrahimi told the Miami Herald that these openings came as a result of the brand’s increasing in popularity, causing an influx of customers too big to handle in Shahs of Kabob’s two home locations: “When [the second location] opened in Doral, we got all this publicity, so the business doubled. Both locations were insane!”
After launching the new locations, the brand has still more on the way in the coming year, including locations near Florida International University and in Aventura.
The Shahs of Kabob menu features large plates like Koobideh (2 skewers of mixed beef + lamb), Joojeh (1 skewer of marinated chicken), and Barg (1 skewer of filet mignon). There are also selections of wraps featuring Koobideh, Joojeh, and Falafel, along with stews like Ghormeh Sabzi (Slowly cooked meat in rich and fresh herb gravy along with kidney beans).
