A fun Austin-based bar is preparing to open its doors in Denver in January, bringing its unique blend of neighborhood hangout vibes and craft drinks to the Mile High City. Latchkey is set to occupy the space at 1300-1308 E. 17th Ave, in the heart of the Uptown neighborhood, Denver Post reports.

Founded by Cade Cauley, the bar aims to create a laid-back yet stylish space with 22 bar seats, high-top tables, outdoor picnic seating, pool tables, and TVs. The bar will serve a mix of local beers, craft cocktails, and mocktails, and the food offerings will include frozen pizzas, burritos, and a rotating selection of food trucks.

Additionally, Latchkey will partner with Hearth Bakery, which recently opened its second location in the same building in November, to offer seasonal cocktails and indulgent treats, like Irish coffee and espresso martinis. The building was once home to Alpine Dog Brewing, which shuttered after a short-lived run.

Cauley told What Now Denver, “We want to open up a place where everyone is welcome and everyone feels like it is an extension of their living room….with hopefully better cocktails! The staff will make sure no matter what kind of day you are having you leave here in a better place.”
