According to a recent permit filing, a new bar concept will soon debut in Southeast Portland at 1216 SE Division Street.
“We are looking to open in May. We don’t have a name for the concept yet. Patrons can look forward to great cocktails, a fun neighborhood bar, and a huge year round patio,” one of the brains behind the operation, Quinn Matthewstearn told What Now Portland.
“I used to work for Lightning Bar Collective. Once I started doing my projects we had always spoken about partnering together. The space was originally Lightning Bar Collective owner John Janulis’ wood shop many years ago,” Matthewstearn added.
In another What Now Portland article, some of Quinn’s other projects in question came to light, such as the newer concept called Side Eye. “The team behind Side Eye are owners Quinn Matthewstearn, David Hall, and Ricky Gomez from Palomar. Quinn and David own Two Wrongs, Sugar Hill, QD’s, and Jackie’s.”
Two Wrongs, according to the company website, is “Located in the heart of the Pearl District in Portland, Oregon, Two Wrongs is a serious bar and cocktail lounge that doesn’t take itself too seriously.”
“A place where you can dress like an adult and be a kid, a place where hip hop and craft cocktails collide, a place where you can come alone and leave with friends. Throw up your deuces. We offer a large selection of hand-crafted libations with custom martinis, high-end whiskey, and other spirits.”
