As Parlor Doughnuts, the growing Midwestern layered doughnut brand, continues to expand all over the country, it seems to be paying particular attention to South Florida. What Now reported last May on plans for a new Parlor Doughnuts brought to Fort Lauderdale’s Flagler Village by franchisee Ed and Desirae Valentin, for example, and that location is expected to launch soon—possibly as soon as March, says recent coverage by the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Meanwhile, the coverage adds, another location is in the works in Boca Raton, brought to the area by partners Corey Elwell, Craig Young, and Ben Boulet.

“The brand is out of Indiana with these layered doughtnuts,” Corey Elwell told What Now on Wednesday. “It’s almost like a croissant. It’s different than anything we have down here. It’s going to be a great fit for Boca.”

Parlor Doughnuts offers a selection of about 20 flavors, which have included French Toast, Maple Bacon, Peanut Butter Cup, and Churro. The menu also features vegan- and gluten-free-friendly choices, breakfast, and specialty coffee.

Elwell, Young, and Boulet are expecting an opening for the new location in early summer, with plans to open more Parlor Doughnuts sotres in north Broward and north and south Palm Beach counties.
