Bakery owner and pastry chef Rachel Mullen will soon be opening a second Primas Bakery + Boutique location at 734 Mount Moriah Rd. together with her cousin, Angelique Sloan, who runs the boutique half of the enterprise.

Following the sweet success of their flagship site Downtown, which opened in August of 2018, Rachel and Angelique are going bigger.

The former antique shop on Mount Moriah is already divided into two spaces, which will become the new Primas Bakery + Boutique. The bakery will consist of a small kitchen for prep and convection cooking. The remaining space will be retail bakery and boutique. Renovation plans are currently under review with the city.

The bakery menu features a wide variety of sweet treats, from seasonal and holiday offerings to Specialty Cakes, Petit Fours, French Macarons and more. Breakfast pastries include Cake Donuts and an extensive selection of Breakfast Breads, from Parmesan Rosemary Scones and Apple Butter Bread to Coffee Cake. There is also a Primas Pawty pup cake option for man’s best friend.

Customers can order online 48 hours in advance for pick-up or delivery. Items are also available for purchase in the shop.

“Our goal is to provide our customers with high quality, artisan desserts for all occasions! If you have an idea in mind, Rachel can make it come to life!” reads the website.

Rachel and Angelique were not immediately available for comment.
