One of the hotter tickets in the fast-casual chicken market is working on a new North Mississippi home. Brother Alan and Eddie Gant are applying their considerable hospitality knowledge to bringing Zaxbys to Kosciusko in the next couple of years, reports Franchising.com.
The ink on the franchise agreement is still wet and the Gants have not yet announced a precise address for Zaxbys upcoming Kosciusko home. Locals will need to exercise a measure of patience before they can enjoy the concept’s chicken wings and sandwiches; the Gants plan to first open a Zaxbys location in Winona, set to be customer-ready in the next year, with Kosciusko to follow approximately a year after.
Zaxbys Chief Development Officer Russ Holland explains why the Gant brothers are the perfect candidates to bring the concept to the region, saying: “Alan and Eddie are exactly the type of experienced, locally rooted operators we look for as we continue growing Zaxbys in markets across the country. They bring deep roots in North Mississippi, decades of business experience and a strong understanding of what it takes to successfully operate and grow restaurants. We’re excited to partner with their family as they bring Zaxbys to Winona and Kosciusko and build on our momentum across Mississippi.”
Zaxbys has been a strong presence on the fast-casual poultry market since its founding in 1990. Fueled by wings, sandwiches, salads, and plenty of sauces, the concept has spread to include more than 1,000 locations across the country.
Alan Gant, speaking of this new venture, states: “We’re thrilled about the opportunity to continue growing our restaurant portfolio here in our home state.”
