A group of Mississippi entrepreneurs are turning chicken into the family business. Brothers Alan and Eddie Gant are working alongside Alan’s son Stefan to introduce Zaxbys, a popular fast-casual chain, to Winona in the not-too-distant future, reports the City of Winona website.
The Gants have not yet revealed the address for Zaxbys upcoming Winona home. While the absence of this information may initially give diners pause, there is no reason for concern about an excessively long wait. Alan, Eddie, and Stefan anticipate having the storefront customer-ready within the next year.
Both Alan and Eddie Gant have experience in hospitality, having launched two restaurants in North Mississippi. Stefan is providing both considerable local knowledge and a strong background in finance and business to the table, making the team quite a formidable presence on the local dining scene.
Stefan believes that Zaxbys will be a great contribution to Winona at large. He explains: “Winona is a community that means a lot to me, so having the opportunity to be part of bringing Zaxbys here is incredibly exciting. I grew up around the restaurant business and saw firsthand how a restaurant can become part of the fabric of a local community. We want to create that same kind of place here in Winona where people can come together, enjoy great food and feel at home.”
Founded in 1990, Zaxbys has been a welcome presence in the ever expanding fast-casual poultry scene. Its menu prominently features wings, sandwiches, salads, and sauces enough to ensure customers never grow bored.
