American drive-in fast food restaurant chain Sonic Drive-In is expanding its footprint within Indiana even further with a new site coming to Dyer.

Franchisee Majid Jaber opened his first location in Crown Point earlier this year at 896 N. Superior Dr. Now, the franchise owner is getting ready to expand the Oklahoma City-based fast food company into Dyer in early 2023, according to NWI Times. Like every location across the country, customers can expect drive-in stalls, outdoor patio seating, and of course, plenty of roller-blading servers. This will become the first Sonic Drive-In in Dyer, Indiana. The next closest location, besides Jaber’s Crown Point site, is Calumet City, IL.

“We look forward to introducing Lake County to the Sonic brand and all the variety our menu offers with the opening of Sonic Crown Point,” Jaber said at the time of the first opening. “Crown Point has welcomed a number of new businesses and restaurants to the area in recent years, and we’re excited to be a part of that growth as we provide job opportunities for local residents and Sonic’s signature fast and friendly service to guests.”

When the new Dyer location opens, customers can expect every American classic you can think of, from chili dogs to milkshakes. To make these delicious meals even more tempting, the fast food chain offers multiple deals, such as half off drinks and slushes all day and half off burgers every Tuesday after 5 pm. Once this location opens, Indiana’s portion of Chicagoland’s Sonics will be up to three sites compared to Illinois’ dozen-plus.
