According to recent leasing intel obtained by What Now Denver, it appears that Denver-based Huckleberry Roasters is on the hunt for another location at 5990 W 38th Avenue in Wheat Ridge.
The company, owned by Koan Goedman, is also hard at work on a new production facility. In a previous conversation with What Now Denver, Goedman shared his desire to open another café within a year or two from the facility’s completion.
The roasters, according to their website, are “in constant pursuit of serving tasty coffee and making happy people.” That pursuit has led to building a “sustainable business that prioritizes working with smallholder farms and coffee co-ops.”
Goedman initially founded Huckleberry in 2011 with his friend Mark Mann, where they started a side-hustle roasting operation in a backyard garage. Outside of the upcoming production facility, the coffee shops also have a location in Sunnyside and one on Dairy Block.
As to the address in Wheat Ridge, the 2,000 square foot building played home to a convenience store for 25 years before becoming available for lease again. According to the intel, the new lease for Huckleberry’s is slated to cover the next 10 years.
What Now Denver reached back out to Goedman for more information, but he was unavailable by phone on Wednesday.
