The ever-growing WeHo neighborhood of Nashville is set to see another new business join the list. According to recent building permits, Single Malt Cigar Bar will open soon at 2018 Lindell Ave. near Scout’s Barber Shop, The Wedge Pizza & Pub, and Killjoy booze-free beverage shop.
Helmed by local convenience store owner, Ritesh Patel, Single Malt will offer a full bar along with a food menu serving traditional bar food to accompany its cigar options. Specific menu details are forthcoming.
Slated to open later this year in March, Single Malt has been using the upcoming months before its debut to create an online presence with a website, Instagram, and Facebook page. The business’s convenient location in Wedgewood Houston will neighbor many prominent offices, making the spot a perfect option for wooing clients during business meetings or happy hours after work. Single Malt has already recognized this opportunity and plans to offer a corporate membership tier for local businesses that become regulars. Two other membership tiers will include benefits including cigar discounts and locker privileges. The incoming business will also offer Nashville’s largest cigar humidifier.
According to recent reporting by The Tennessean, Patel comes from an entrepreneurial background. His family immigrated from India to Middle Tennessee and in the mid-2000s started buying tobacco stores, liquor stores, and gas stations in the Cookeville area. The article states this is Patel’s 11th business and by far his most “upscale and ambitious” one. The interior of the space will accommodate seating for 150 people and a 40-foot-long bar.
Although Single Malt will have some pricetags on the higher end, it will also aim to offer something for anyone’s spending range. “From $5 to $100 to $800 cigars we’ll carry them all and you can securely stash ‘em away in one of our 108 lockers in our private lounge area. If you feel a party coming on, you can fiesta like there’s no mañana in our party room. Whatever you desire we’re here for it,” the business’s Facebook page states.
