A neighborhood pub in Charlestown’s historic Gaslight District is set for a transformation.

The Boston Licensing Board has approved Matthew Sullivan’s plan to revamp Sullivan’s Public House at 85 Main St into a new taco spot called Town Taqueria, according to a report from Universal Hub (via Boston Restaurant Talk).

Sullivan, who purchased Sullivan’s Pub and reopened it as Sullivan’s Public House in 2022, also owns Nantucket Tap Room at the Jared Coffin House and the recently opened Shawmut Inn in Boston’s South End.

If all goes according to plan, Town Taqueria could open its doors as soon as November 2024.
