The chicken sandwich chain Chick-fil-A plans to build a new outpost in San Antonio at 1539 N Loop 1604 W Access Road, near eateries such as Aldina at The Vineyard, Hopdoddy Burger Bar, and MOD Pizza.
According to a recent building permit application, the fast-food corporation will spend $1,200,000 to construct a 4,869-square-foot quick-service restaurant with a drive-thru and stand-alone canopies from the ground up.
Chosen to carry out the job is Mayse & Associates, Inc., an award-winning architecture and design firm based in Dallas that also works with clients like Fuddruckers, Saltgrass Steakhouse, and Zoe’s Kitchen.
With over 400 locations, Texas has more Chick-fil-A outposts than any other state in the nation — and nearly double how many exist in second-place state Georgia. There are 30-plus outposts in San Antonio alone, and the chain’s expansion doesn’t appear to be ceasing any time soon.
What Now San Antonio recently reached out to the Director of Southwest Restaurant Development, Steve Lewis, to inquire about a potential opening date, but he was not immediately available for comment.
