The popular mediterranean restaurant CAVA is opening a new San Antonio location in Stone Ridge, per a recent filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Registration. The new location, once built, will be the sixth CAVA location in San Antonio.
What Now San Antonio reached out to representatives from CAVA, but they were not immediately available for comment.
Construction on the new project is expected to begin in May and finish in August, per the filing. It will span 2,252 sq ft, and likely feature the customizable, fast-casual bowl options with a base of salad, pita, or rice.
Founded in 2006 by Greek Americans Ted Xenohristos, Ike Grigoropoulos, Dimitri Moshovitis and Brett Shculman, CAVA is a Maryland-based chain owned and operated by CAVA Group, which also owns Zoe’s Kitchen.
The restaurant is also known for selling its dips and spreads, like spicy hummus and tzatziki sauce, at grovery retailers.
