Pluckers Wing Bar, the Austin-based wings chain, will be opening a fourth location in San Antonio in Brooks at the start of the fourth quarter this year. The store, which will be located at 2714 SE Military Drive, is a part of the company’s plans for a steady expansion.

“We’re huge fans of San Antonio,” says Co-Owner Sean Greenberg. “We’re really excited to be a part of all the new development near this location.”

The company is also planning a possible fifth location on the west side, Greenberg said.

Construction has already begun on the 9,049-square-foot dine-in and patio location, and Greenberg says he hopes the store will be operational by August or September this year. The store will be located in Brooks, a mixed-use community that previously served as an Air Force base.

Pluckers has been in operation in one form or another since co-founders Mark Greenberg, Dave Paul, and Sean Greenberg put together a wings stall as freshman at the University of Texas Austin. Since then, the company has grown steadily over nearly three decades, and now operates over 30 locations across both Texas and Louisiana.

Known for its variety of sauces and emphasis on customer service, Pluckers locations also host trivia nights and other interactive events. With a focus on quality food and service, Greenberg says they have been able to build a steady community of loyal customers.

“We get a lot of responses on social media from our customers telling us to come to different locations,” Greenberg says. “We try to follow the demand.”
