American multinational fast-casual chain KFC is planning to open a new location in Seguin, according to a recently submitted construction permit application.

Coming to 1300 TX-46, the upcoming outpost will neighbor establishments such as Bill Miller BBQ, Burger King, and Whataburger.

What Now San Antonio reached out to Mark Peterson, the Vice President at Desert de Oro Foods, Inc. — the franchisee behind the upcoming spot — to inquire about the outpost, but he could not provide further information before publication.

Nevertheless, the filing provides additional insight.

Renovations to the 1,923-square-foot site are set to begin on August 1 and to be completed by January 2025. For an estimated $350,000, the job will be carried out by local architecture firm Charles William Pope and Associates
