According to a recently submitted permit application, Panera Bread is expanding its San Antonio-area footprint, planning to debut a new outpost in Spring Branch next year.

Coming to 438 Singing Oaks, the eatery will land near establishments such as Ay Chiwawa! Mexican Cafe, Chili’s Grill & Bar, and Chipotle.

What Now San Antonio reached out to Theresa Padua, Senior Development Project Manager at Panera LLC, to inquire about the upcoming spot, but she could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, the filing reveals that construction of the 2,439-square-foot space began on October 15 and will finish on April 15, 2025. For an estimated $1,500,000, the project is being carried out by Nashville-based firm MJM Architects.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the franchise, the American chain currently operates more than 2,000 outposts across the US and Canada and is known for its sandwiches and salads.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
