According to MySA, local food truck concept The Baked Bird plans to debut its first brick-and-mortar spot in the city.
“It’s with great pride & determination that I am making this post. With your support & love, we have grown over the last 4 years. We took a gigantic leap of faith towards our ultimate goal. WE’RE OPENING A RESTAURANT!” the business shares on Facebook.
Coming to 5822 Babcock Road, the eatery will land near establishments such as Bill Miller BBQ, Brevity Coffee Co., and Mirchi on Wheels.
The statement continues, “As for the truck, we are finishing out December and then plan to pause until restaurant life balances. We have intentions of bringing the truck back out but we want to focus energy into one area. I know for some you are heavily saddened by this news.”
For readers who are unfamiliar with The Baked Bird, the business offers a brief introduction on its website: “Our food truck is the stop for scratch-made breakfast, specialty coffee drinks on the go & delicious pastries.”
An opening date for the Babcock Road spot has not been announced yet, so follow The Baked Bird on Facebook for updates.
