According to a recently submitted permit application, San Antonio-based taqueria Tia’s Taco Hut plans to debut a new outpost in the city.
Coming to 3643 Evans Road, the eatery will land near establishments such as Panfila Cantina, Smokey Mo’s BBQ, and Sprout’s Farmers Market.
What Now San Antonio spoke briefly with the concept’s Co-owner, Benny Costello, but he could not provide additional information before publication.
Nevertheless, the filing reveals that the finish-out of the 2,985-square-foot space is scheduled to begin on March 24 and finish on January 9, 2026, and will cost an estimated $250,000 to complete.
For readers who are unfamiliar with Tia’s, the eatery introduces itself as “an authentic Tex-Mex Restaurant [where] all recipes are made fresh in-house daily” on its Facebook page.
The business currently operates 12 locations across San Antonio.
An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
