Paris Baguette is set to expand in Tennessee in the coming years. Franchisee Jim Osborn shared in an interview with What Now Nashville that he has expanded his franchise agreement, which initially included one location in Franklin, to include four locations. While they are still scouting properties and have no addresses ready to share, Osborn said that they will be targeting Franklin, Brentwood, Green Hills and Spring Hill.
Osborn said they chose these neighborhoods because they were looking for community-focused, growing areas around Nashville.
“It’s difficult to go to a small town and put a Paris Baguette,” Osborn said. “So you look at the higher demographic areas that are growing in Tennessee and choose based on the growth and the future of areas that will be very successful for Paris Baguette.”
Paris Baguette, known for its cakes, pastries, sandwiches and breads, has been around since 1988, when the chain began in South Korea. It now has thousands of locations worldwide, including nearly 200 units in the U.S. Osborn said the company is targeting 1,000 locations in the U.S. by 2030.
“It’s a bakery concept that’s thriving right now and is well-received across the U.S. at this time. People just love it,” Osborn said.
Nashville just received its first location last summer under different operators, and Osborn said that location has been successful. Another location is expected to join Murfreesboro this year under another franchisee. Osborn sees the growth and the success of the first Nashville location as positive signs for the locations he plans to bring to the area.
“There’s a big attraction and need for this in the Tennessee area,” Osborn said.
